Compete in the Angular Connect Hackathon

We are pleased to host the Angular Connect Hackathon on Sept 27th from 6:00 - 10:30 pm. You will be building something interesting with NativeScript and Angular 2. To show it off, record a video demo that we can all see and post it on the Angular Connect Hackathon page on DevPost.

Categories

You can choose one of 4 categories to compete in. Each category has seed code available so you can jump right in and bring your awesome idea to light. Check out the categories to get inspired:

• Social Hack - suggested API: Kiva - seed code
• Art or Music Hack - suggested API: Soundcloud - seed code
• Machine Learning Hack - suggested API: Clarif.ai - seed code
• Interesting Web + Mobile Hack - use the Angular Seed to get started

How much time do I have?

We'll have staff in the hackathon room on Tuesday night from 6:00 - 10:30 pm to help you get started and answer any questions you have. You can continue to work on your projects during the remainder of the night. To be considered for the prizes, you'll need to submit your Github repo link and your video to DevPost by 10AM on Sept 28th.

We encourage you to form teams for this competition. Judging via DevPost will include all conference members. Winners will be announced at the close of the conference.

How to prepare

So you can make the most out of your opportunity, we recommend a few simple steps to prepare:

• Install NativeScript on your machine and run the hello world app.
• Get a taste of how NativeScript and Angular 2 work together. Run through our Getting Started Guide for NativeScript using Angular 2. 
• Join the NativeScript Slack channel in the #hackathon room. Experts will be there ready to field questions.
